Experience
I'm Karim, and I attended Emory University to earn my bachelor's degree in biology and psychology. I'm looking forward to attending medical school and becoming a pediatrician one day. I've tutored for several years, and I'm comfortable working with students of any age and any level of ability in a wide array of topics. I'm focused on helping students reach their goals, and I emphasize learning effectively and efficiently in my sessions. When I work with students, I emphasize developing a full understanding of the material as opposed to rote memorization. This way students can connect ideas together and understand topics better, which allows them to apply their knowledge to new challenges in the future. I ask a lot of questions when I tutor to gauge the student's understanding, and I provide many different resources and methodologies to help students learn. I'm excited to tutor students in algebra, biology, business, chemistry, microbiology, organic chemistry, anatomy and physiology, essay writing, English grammar, study skills, trigonometry, executive functioning, and other courses. I can also help students prepare for the ACT, MCAT, SAT, and other standardized assessment exams. In my free time, I enjoy singing, studying astronomy, listening to music, and spending time with my friends. I look forward to helping students learn and achieve their goals.
